Instagram Live notifications, without the feed in the way
Instagram decides who sees what, and most followers miss most live events. Direct delivery solves that.
Instagram is where reach goes to die
Instagram's feed is ranked, Stories visibility is ranked, and discovery surfaces (Explore, hashtags, Reels) all use independent recommendation systems that can quietly limit a post for any number of reasons. A creator with 100,000 followers regularly reaches single-digit percentages of them on a given post. Live events are visible to slightly more followers, but only because Instagram pushes a brief notification when a creator goes live, and even that is throttled.
Direct delivery on top of Instagram
Catchmylive connects to your Instagram Business or Creator account through Meta's Graph API. When you go live, the API surfaces the event to us, and we dispatch a push to every follower who opted in. The notification does not flow through Instagram's notification stack, so it lands the same way every time, regardless of how Instagram ranks your account that day.
Followers can still use Instagram however they want. Catchmylive sits next to it, not in place of it.
Account requirements
To connect Instagram, you need a Business or Creator account, not a personal account. The Graph API does not expose live event data for personal accounts. Switching from personal to Creator is free and reversible inside Instagram's settings, and it unlocks the integration immediately.
Common questions
How does Catchmylive know when I go live on Instagram?
We connect to your Instagram Business account through Meta's Graph API. When Instagram reports a live broadcast on your account, we dispatch.
Do I need an Instagram Business or Creator account?
Yes. Instagram's API access for live and post events requires a Business or Creator account. Personal accounts cannot connect.
What about Instagram Stories or Reels?
Live events are supported today. New post and Reel notifications are on the roadmap as Meta expands API access for those event types.
Other platforms
Facebook
Facebook Page reach has been falling for over a decade. Catchmylive sends a push to followers who opted in, independent of Facebook's feed.
YouTube
YouTube's bell icon misses most of your subscribers. Catchmylive sends a push the moment you go live or upload, with no ranking layer in the path.
Twitch
Twitch follow notifications are unreliable for most viewers. Catchmylive uses EventSub to dispatch a push the moment you go live, every time.
